To help make our inaugural season run as smoothly as possible, we are trying out a new app called Spond!

We will be using Spond to coordinate player availability, track schedules, and handle RSVPs for all games and practices. It will also serve as a direct communication channel for updates, and we’ll be exploring more of its features as the season goes on. We'll continue with updates on Facebook, email, and website as well.

Here is what you need to do right now to get set up:

1. Check Your Email: Look at the email address you used to register your child. You should have an invitation from Spond waiting for you.

2. Download the App: Once you find the invite, download the app to your phone using the links below, create your account, and accept the invitation!

⚠️ A Quick Note on Team Placement & Missing Invites:

Because we've had several players moving around divisions to balance out our groups, please double-check your child's assigned division once you get into the app.

• Wrong Division? If your player is not listed in the correct group, let me know right away so I can shift them over.

• No Invite? If you’ve checked your spam folder and still haven't received an email invitation, drop me a line with your child's name and your preferred email address, and I will get you added manually.

Now that we have a good idea of numbers, we've updated our schedule to what we expect will remain in place the remainder of the season:

Note: The league will be taking a break from Thursday June 18 - Wednesday July 1 as the rink hosts summer events. We encourage players to get outside and practice, but there will be no officially organized sessions.

To get our kids playing lacrosse this season, we need coaches for all divisions. If you’ve been thinking about helping out, now is the time to jump in.

The Details:

• When: Wednesday, May 13

• Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Where: Warm Room, Paradise Double Ice Complex

• Experience: None required! This is the training.

The Game Plan: This clinic is "Step 3" of the certification process. Ideally, you’ll have your NCCP number and the four online safety/ethics modules (Step 1 & 2) finished before the 13th.

Pro Tip: if you already coach hockey, soccer, or baseball, check your NCCP transcript—you might already have these modules completed!

We’re building an officiating crew from the ground up for our first season, and we need your help to get going. Whether you’re a teen looking for a paid summer gig or a parent who wants to help grow the sport in Paradise, this clinic is the place to start.

The Details:

• When: Sunday, April 26

• Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Where: Resource Room B, Paradise Double Ice Complex

• Cost: Free

No prior lacrosse experience is necessary. And, if you've reffed in other sports, the transition will be natural. We’ll cover the fundamentals and get everyone comfortable with the rules before the season starts in May.

The response has been incredible. Based on the numbers, we have enough players to roster at least two teams in our U11, U13, U15, and U19 divisions. We are moving full steam ahead for a late May start.

The Current Gaps:

U9 Division: We have 11 players. We need to hit 30 to make a proper division work for the 2018/2019 birth years. If your kid is in this bracket and are looking to play, let's get them on the list.

Female Participation: Numbers are still low here. To make sure everyone gets a chance to play, we’re able to run co-ed divisions where needed or adjust the divisions to fit the players we have.

Official Registration:

Since these are currently just pre-registrations, stay tuned. We will be opening official registration and payment in the very near future. We’ll be using these pre-reg lists to send out the sign-up links first, so make sure you’re on there.

Volunteers & Refs:

More players means we need more coaches. We can't roster teams without a full coaching staff (3 per team), so please step up if you can.

We’re hosting a free referee clinic this April to build our officiating crew for the upcoming season. If you'd like to be a part of the league, this is a great way to do it and no prior experience is required.

The Details:

• When: Sunday - April 26, 2026

• Cost: Free.

• Certification: You’ll earn your Community Development certification.

• The Perk: Refereeing is a paid role for our older divisions.

Transferable Skills: If you’ve refereed hockey, soccer, or basketball, you already have 90% of the skills needed. We’ll teach you the lacrosse-specifics.

We’re working to bring a new lacrosse league to town this spring, and we want to get it right.

If you’re curious about the sport or want to see what a local league will look like, join us for an informal information session. We’ll be discussing our plans for a 12-week season starting in late May/early June, making use of the turf field at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.

WHEN: Saturday, March 7
TIME: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
WHERE: Warm Room, Paradise Double Ice Complex

A few quick details:

• WHAT: u9, u11, and u13 boys and girls divisions. Other divisions may be possible depending on interest.

• WHO: This is open to everyone. You don’t have to live in Paradise to play

• WHY: We’re gauging interest to finalize the league structure. Your input helps us build this out properly.
